The primary functions of this position are to fully support process improvements and task-out projects for all DC’s, typically related to cost out and productivity. This role will also require the ability to perform operational analysis, process improvements, facility and capacity planning, and project management. The Distribution Center Rack Systems (MIT) must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects at once, possesses excellent communication skills, works well with diversified teams, interacts with multiple levels and functions within the Operations and Supply Chain divisions. This position will also require a select individual to provide world-class service to both our internal and external customers by demonstrating outstanding professionalism and integrity surrounding multiple processes on a consistent basis. 

Analyzing/Forecasting: Conducts time studies, performs zero base analysis, rate analysis, network analysis, statistical analysis, flow path analysis, and related operational/supply chain analysis.

Strategic Planning: Identifies logistics process improvement opportunities through competitive analysis, and critical thinking. Supports and/or leads cross-functional strategic or process improvement projects. Reports and engages senior operational leaders and stakeholders to gain alignment on implementation

Lean Process Improvements: Develops reports and runs ad hoc queries. Identifies, modifies and develops standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes, and training opportunities. Supports implementations of completed Kaizen events/process change alignment to local leadership and provides recommendations for successful transitions. Leads process improvement initiatives leveraging Lean-Six Sigma. plan and success metrics.

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

Education - Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering or advanced degree is required.

Work Experience - One (1) to Three (3) years of experience supporting and implementing operational logistics processes.

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of the computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Tableau is a plus.
