What This Role Is…

As a PM Inventory Transfer Associate, the primary function of this position is to execute inventory transfer processes by performing standard work, maintaining visual controls, and following safety standards. These processes include handling and lifting heavy furniture items continuously throughout the shift in a warehouse environment. Associates in this position must also become proficient in our inventory software platform and related tools. This includes using scanners and monitoring accurate inventory allocation transactions. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Operations Department at CITY Furniture.

What You’ll Do…

As a PM Inventory Transfer Associate, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Offload furniture trailers/containers onto inventory vehicles. Transporting inventory vehicles throughout warehouse environment.  Operating warehousing equipment such as stock pickers, fork lifts, cart tuggers.  Moving inventory into storage racking at various heights. 
  • Perform standard processes without deviation to mitigate costly inventory shrinkage. Monitors inventory process accuracy and corrects errors.  Communicates deviations and exceptions to leadership.  
  • Prepare and meet with associates and team leaders to discuss shift priorities and KPI performance. Participate in suggestion generation for effective deviation countermeasures.  Communicates and reinforces safety standards. 
  • Work with other teams to assist in achieving common goals. Acquires knowledge and experience for anticipated cross-functional support during peak times or to execute flexible assignments.

What’s Required…

  • Education & Work Experience:
    • No High School diploma required
    • Previous warehouse/distribution center experience preferred but not required.
  • Work Environment & Schedule:
    • Full-time - must be available (6:30 PM to 5:00 AM)
    • Includes weekends
    • 0% of Travel
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Lifting up to 75lbs , working at high heights, bending, prolonged standing and walking
  • Technology Requirements:
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
    • Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
    • WMS – High Jump (preferred but not required)
  • Certifications / Licenses
    • No certifications required
