What this role is

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be working with our Sales and Marketing software engineering teams. We are targeting a capable leader that can help drive culture, improve engineering standards, and contribute to building a strong and scalable team. At CITY Furniture, we believe innovation is paramount. Our tech stack harnesses a wide range of technologies, including Amazon Web Services, IBM Cloud, Node.js, and Docker containerization. We rely on our Staff Software Engineers to provide technical leadership based on a sound understanding of technological, organizational, and industry trends. Your contributions will ensure CITY Furniture remains on the bleeding edge of technological advancements in our industry.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading and owning project execution and delivery through the entire SDLC
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well on a large, distributed team
  • 3+ years of experience developing mobile applications using React Native
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring and coaching software engineers
  • 3+ years of experience with any combination of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins,  Github Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, Ansible, CodeDeploy, Artifactory, etc.) - pipelines for React Native / Swift IOS are a big plus
  • 3+ years of experience with a public cloud provider (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g. EC2, SQS, ECS)
