Job Description

We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CITY Furniture Marketing team. As the Sr. Digital Art Director, Social Media you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of creative digital marketing campaign concepts across various digital mediums, including web, social, and email. This role collaborates with other departments to understand and translate business goals into high-quality design concepts that align with industry best practices and enhance the City Furniture brand online. This position will collaborate with creative leadership to execute and oversee digital visuals for online and digital advertising. This role is also responsible for coaching other designers, training new designers, and maintaining communication design standards for all digital channels.

This position is responsible for the development and conception of creative digital campaigns across a range of digital mediums, including web, social, and email. This role consults with the Director of Creative on creative direction and approval of concepts.

The Sr. Digital Art Director, Social Media reports directly to the Creative Director/VP of Design.

This position is required to work a 45-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, remotely and in a corporate office environment.

Job Requirements

Education - Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic/Web Design or related design field preferred

Work Experience and Skills -

  • Four (5) to Five (6) years of experience in designing, developing, and creating for digital content within retail industry
  • Three (3) to Four (4) years of experience leading a team of designers

Computer Knowledge -  

  • Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Figma
  • Knowledge of Social, Email, Web Content best practices, and a willingness to learn and stay up to date with new trends and best practices.
  • Must be organized, analytical, and dynamic.
  • Creative thinker with strong visual design and typography skills.
  • A passion for design and people
  • Great sense of typography, illustration, and visual composition.
  • Outstanding conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in advertising, marketing, corporate identity, brand management, sales promotion, and social media communication.
  • Experience leading a team of designers.
  • Strong grasp of the creative development process, have excellent art direction skills, and consistently deliver excellent design.
  • Expertise in developing creative solutions in a variety of campaigns across a broad range of problems and media, including advertising, print, interactive, web, email, and social networking.
  • Ability to guide, evaluate, and if necessary redirect creative development.
  • Communicate effectively with creative and project management staff enabling trust and respect.
  • A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high-quality design work that also tells a story that you are a deep design thinker.
  • Experience leading projects from concept to execution.
