Job Description

The primary purpose of the Social Media Sr. Content Manager position is to lead the organic social content strategy across CITY’s social media platforms. This position is responsible for strengthening CITY’s social media presence and reputation while increasing brand awareness. The Social Media Sr. Content Manager will be responsible for analyzing content performance and communicating content performance to cross functional teams. This role will have the ability to liaise with internal/external stakeholders, e.g., social media vendors, agencies, business partners, e-commerce, etc. to ensure all parties are informed and aligned on efforts. This position consults with the Social Media Director and Sr. Manager, Paid Social and must utilize judgement and individual discretion for daily decision making on Company’s organic social media marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Organic Social Strategy - Oversee the development of monthly content calendars and year-round content strategies that align with brand objectives and promotions across all social channels. Lead the briefing and execution of content planning and creation for all organic social content. Collaborate closely with other internal stakeholders to ideate and execute around tent pole events. Monitor trends in social media tools, best practices, emerging platforms, and strategy. Oversee monthly budget tracking and invoice submissions.

Content Management - The Social Media Sr. Content Manager will partner closely with CITY’s internal Creative team to oversee day-to-day content on CITY owned platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok. Work with cross-functional teams to support business and merchandising priorities. Establish ways of working for cross-functional marketing teams to achieve high performing social content. Works with and coaches Social Media analysts in planning, scheduling and managing all owned and earned social media content for CITY.

Reporting - Track KPIs and analyze content performance (engagement rate, follower growth, etc.) Use performance data to drive real-time optimizations of social content strategy

Work Environment Summary

This position is required to work a flexible 40 hour workweek, Monday - Friday, in a corporate office environment and occasional extended hours on an as needed basis. Travel may be required.

Job Requirements


Qualifications Required

Education - Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on advertising, marketing or communications preferred.

Work Experience -

  • Minimum six (6) years' experience in Social Media.
  • Experience at an agency or regional/national brand preferred.

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

  • Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of reporting, and optimization for performance-based KPIs.
  • Experience with building content calendars
  • Experience measuring the impact and effectiveness of campaigns using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
  • Ability to serve as a social media content expert
  • Possess demonstrated and extensive social media management experience combined with a willingness to experiment.
