What This Role Is…

As a Social Media Director, the primary function of this position is to develop and execute all Social Media Strategy for CITY Furniture. The ideal candidate will have a strong brand, retail, and furniture industry knowledge. This person will oversee and direct the Social Media team that will enhance brand awareness and drive other key performance indicators with strategic social media campaigns and initiatives. 

The Social Media Director is also responsible for initiating new ideas, problem solving and developing rapport amongst the team and key stakeholders.  Your contributions will ensure the success of the Marketing Department at CITY Furniture.

What You’ll Do…

As a Social Media Director, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Strategy Development and Execution | Competitive Landscape Research – Build strategies that translate key business challenges and customer needs into Social marketing opportunities across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.)  
  • Team Management & Growth - Direct and manage teams accountable for daily operations, ensuring adherence to all Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities of the team. Oversee and direct the work of Senior Managers, Managers and their subordinates  

Additional duties and responsibilities as a Social Media Director:

  • Analysis and Reporting - Flex from the creative side of marketing to analytical side and utilize strong business analytics and data to find actionable solutions to customer and business issues.
  • Cross Functional –Partners cross-functionally to translate and define business needs for area of responsibility to execute against.
  • Planning & Budgeting – Work alongside Marketing, Retail, and Senior Leadership to develop Quarterly and Annual plans including department roadmap .

What’s Required…

  • Education & Work Experience:
    • Bachelor Degree with a focus on advertising, marketing or communications preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in advertising and public relations, and prior experience in maintaining a Brand’s social media platform.
    • Experience at an agency or regional/national brand preferred.
  • Work Environment & Schedule:
    • Hybrid – Remote/Corporate
    • Monday – Friday, occasional nights and weekends to attend events
    • 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Technology Requirements:
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
    • Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
    • Functional knowledge and/or personal experience with Sprinklr, Canva, Asana/Trello
    • Expert knowledge of social media platforms/business managers including Meta, Pinterest, Snap, TikTok
  • Certifications / Licenses
    • Valid Florida Driver License Required
