What This Role Is…
As a SEO/SEM Manager, the primary function of this position is to oversee CITY Furniture’s search engine marketing efforts, including onsite and offsite optimization and keyword research (SEO). SEO/SEM Manager is also responsible for managing our marketing agency’s execution of our pay-per-click (PPC) strategy. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Marketing department at CITY Furniture.

Location: Hybrid/ Corporate Office
Department/Sub-Department: Marketing/ Advertising
Salary: Starting at $68,000 (salary based on experience)
What You’ll Do…
As a SEO/SEM Manager, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Strategy and Planning for SEO – Develops and executes our Search Engine Optimization strategy. Uses industry benchmark data and performance trends to establish goals and details strategies to reach those goals, including specific strategies for link-building, content optimization, and technical optimization.
- Strategy and Planning for SEM – Contributes to the development and execution of paid search campaigns by overseeing strategy, roadmap, and testing for PPC in partnership with our marketing agency. Analyzes results and develops action items.
- Data Analysis and Reporting – Collects data on campaign and content performance and regularly reports out on them. Standardizes reporting to all stakeholders including revenue, ROAS, rankings, and engagement metrics. Performs data analysis to identify and interpret trends and potential areas of improvement.
Additional duties and responsibilities as a SEO/SEM Manager:
- Oversees the globally staffed search marketing team, aligning said team to standard operating procedures through partnership with the 3rd party staffing agency.
- Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.

What’s Required…
- Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- 4 years of experience with E-Commerce, digital marketing, SEO/SEM and other content marketing tactics preferred
- Work Environment & Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, with occasional work on weekends to support major holidays and events
- <10% of Travel
- Physical Requirements:
- This position requires working at a computer for extended periods of time
- Technology Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
- Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Google Analytics
- Google Search Console
- Google AdWords
- SEMRush
- Usage of AI and GenAI, including large language models (LLM)
- Certifications / Licenses
- Valid Driver’s license
- Google Ads Certified
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Certified
