What This Role Is...
As Senior Manager of Digital Marketplaces, this role is responsible for establishing and scaling CITY’s presence across third-party marketplace channels, including Amazon, Wayfair, and future platforms, to drive incremental revenue growth and deliver a high-quality customer experience beyond owned digital channels. The Senior Manager of Digital Marketplaces will also build the operational foundation for marketplace selling, oversee product data and feed integrity, execute marketplace advertising strategy, and cross-functionally partner with Merchandising to ensure reliable fulfillment and strong channel health. Your contributions will lay the groundwork for Marketplace as a meaningful growth engine at CITY.
Position Title: Senior Manager of Digital Marketplaces
Reports To: Vice President of Digital Commerce
Location: Hybrid / Tamarac Corporate Office
Department/Sub-Department: Marketing / Digital Commerce
Salary: $90,000-$110,000 DOE
What You’ll Do*...
As a Senior Manager of Digital Marketplaces, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Marketplace Foundation & Platform Integration
- Lead the end-to-end launch of CITY Furniture’s marketplace presence across Amazon, Wayfair, and additional platforms
- Establish seller/vendor accounts, integration architecture, and scalable operational workflows
- Partner with Technology and external platform teams to ensure stable system integrations and API connectivity
- Define and document standard operating procedures for onboarding, listing management, and ongoing channel operations
- Product Data & Feed Management
- Own the accuracy and completeness of all product data across marketplace channels
- Partner with Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Technology to align product attributes, imagery, pricing, and inventory with platform requirements and brand standards
- Manage feed syndication tools and PIM integrations to scale product publishing
- Identify and resolve data issues impacting listing visibility, suppression, and buy box performance
- Marketplace Advertising & Channel Growth
- Develops and executes marketplace advertising strategies across sponsored product, display, and brand advertising programs on Amazon, Wayfair, and other active platforms
- Manages advertising budgets in alignment with VP-defined channel targets, optimizing bids, keyword targeting, and campaign structure to drive return on ad spend
- Monitors channel performance against revenue and margin goals, identifies growth opportunities, and contributes actionable recommendations to quarterly and annual planning
- Logistics & Fulfillment Coordination
- Serves as the Digital Commerce point of contact for marketplace logistics and fulfillment operations
- Partners with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure fulfillment programs—including drop-ship, FBA, and carrier-routed delivery—are configured correctly and performing to platform SLA requirements
- Proactively monitors seller health metrics, defect rates, and late shipment performance, and escalates issues with urgency to protect channel standing
- Stays current on evolving marketplace fulfillment requirements and programs, and brings forward recommendations to leadership
Additional duties and responsibilities as a Senior Manager of Digital Marketplaces:
- Analysis and Reporting
- Utilizes strong business analytics skills to track and interpret marketplace performance across revenue, conversion, advertising efficiency, and seller health metrics
- Delivers regular performance reporting to the VP of Digital Commerce, connecting marketplace execution to business outcomes
- Proactively surfaces trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities, and contributes insights to cross-channel digital commerce planning
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Works closely with Merchandising, Site Content, Technology, Supply Chain, and Marketing to align marketplace strategy with broader CITY Furniture business priorities
- Communicates channel requirements, platform updates, and operational dependencies clearly to internal stakeholders
- Participates in cross-functional planning cycles and contributes a marketplace lens to enterprise digital commerce roadmap discussions
- Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.

What’s Required...
- Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce or digital merchandising
- 3+ years of hands-on marketplace experience (Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Wayfair, or similar platforms)
- Experience launching or scaling marketplace channels strongly preferred
- Experience in home furnishings or home décor a plus
- Work Environment & Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Limited nights and weekend hours based on business needs
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Technology Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Marketplace Platform Experience: Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, Wayfair Partner Home, and additional third-party marketplace platforms
- Feed Management & Syndication Tools (e.g., Feedonomics, ChannelAdvisor, Linnworks, or equivalent)
- Product Information Management Systems (PIM)
- Marketplace Advertising Platforms (Amazon Ads, Sponsored Products, Wayfair Sponsored Listings, or equivalent)
- Web Analytics (Google Analytics or equivalent)
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- eCommerce Taxonomy and Product Data Standards
- Solid knowledge of marketplace logistics programs including drop-ship, FBA, and carrier-routed fulfillment models
- Certifications / Licenses
- Amazon Advertising Certification preferred
- Relevant eCommerce or digital marketing certifications a plus
