We have wonderful opportunity to join City Furniture's Marketing Department as a Sr. Manager of Consumer Finance.  

The primary purpose of this is to lead the strategic and tactical execution of CITY Furniture’s Private Label Credit Card (PLCC), secondary lenders, and tertiary lenders. This role will be responsible for maximizing guest approvals, increasing repeat purchases, and marketing to PLCC holders. This position will be responsible for driving growth in PLCC sales while planning and adhering to agreed upon finance budgets. The Sr. Manager of Consumer Finance will manage the relationships between our consumer financing lenders, credit card companies, and internal stakeholders. This role must be a strong negotiator, possess good leadership skills, be a strong communicator, and an innovative marketer. This position collaborates with other Stakeholders including, but not limited to: Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Development, IT, Sales, Customer Care, and external vendors.

Work Environment Summary

This position is required to work a 45-hour work week Monday through Friday in a hybrid remote/corporate office environment. Occasional early morning hours, late evenings, and weekends may be required to conduct special projects. Travel to showrooms throughout the company’s trading area and to vendor company’s headquarters is routine, further travel visits to network with other similar retailers would be expected as well but less frequent. Travel to each of our showrooms one time per month for finance visits with the showroom management is part of the job and will be expected to take 4-5 days per month.

Job Requirements

Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting.

Work Experience - Three (3) + years of experience with a Consumer Finance company or working on the retail side of a consumer finance program.

      • Experience with PLCC from the lender or retailer side.
      • Strong analytical skills to guide business strategy decisions.
      • Strong facilitation and communication skills, strong attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills: including presentation and interview skills, strong organizing and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task, analysis and problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, and an ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
      • Demonstrated ability to organize workload, multitask, think analytically, solve technical problems, and establish relationships across business and IT/development team members.
      • Must be a self-starter showing a high level of initiative. Positive "can-do" attitude.
      • High energy and outgoing individual.
      • Ability to work well in a team environment sharing ideas, workflow, technologies, and processes.
