What This Role Is…

As a Quality assurance Auditor, the primary function of this position is to audit and evaluate quality control procedures to ensure operations adhere to company standards and budgets. This position will be responsible to make sure the products meet company standards and guidelines. QA Auditors will assist and determine the root cause of any problems that they may encounter and try to solve these as soon as possible. They also confirm the company's products meet user expectations as well as the company's brand promise. This position will be working cross-functionally within and the Quality Assurance Department to ensure problem resolution by assigning and tracking deliverables and outcomes.

What You’ll Do…

As a Quality Assurance Auditor, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Performs vendor and DC in-process audits at various touch points for products that exceed damage % standards. Types of audits include, but are not limited to, load out, container/receiving, donation, clearance, damage lanes, put away, staging, delivery & installation, etc. Document defects and recommendations for improvement. Tracking and management of post-audit activities and follow-up on any outstanding action items necessary to resolve deviations/root causes based on investigations. Support every aspect of internal audit quality system program from audit planning, implementation, feedback, and re-audit as required. -50%
  • Identifies point of occurrence for high damage products and owns necessary problem solving A3s. Develops training modules and/or content updates for various quality process sections. Participates in Kaizens and City Circles. Tracks countermeasures and evaluates results. – 25%
  • Review and updates KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Reviews operations department dashboards. Preparing and presenting quality audit reports to senior management. Creates and updates standard operating procedures (SOP) as needed. – 15%
  • Collaborates with VP of Global Sourcing and Operations Management to identify, estimate and correct deviations and defects in quality system process. – 5%
  • Gains exposure to safety policies & procedures and utilizes the proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages and reduce injuries. 5%

What’s Required…

  • Education & Work Experience:
    • Bachelors Degree preferred; Highschool Diploma required
    • At least one (2) years of CITY Furniture in Operations, Customer Care, Merchandising or Supply Chain.
  • Work Environment & Schedule:
    • Flexible 45-hour workweek including early morning, late evenings, weekends and holidays
    • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm 
    • Large non-airconditioned Distribution Center
  • Technology Requirements:
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
    • Furniture Product Knowledge
    • AS400
    • General computer skills and navigation
