What This Role Is...
As a Merchandise Planning Coordinator, the primary function of this position is to support the merchandising planning team initiatives by executing product strategies. The Merchandise Planning Coordinator is also responsible for consistency in communication for display execution across showrooms that meets brand standards and customer experience goals. This position requires analytical skills and attention to detail, with an aptitude for working collaboratively on multiple projects and building relationships. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Merchandising Department at CITY Furniture.

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 DOE
What You'll Do...
As a Merchandise Planning Coordinator, the primary responsibilities will be:
- Assortment Communication
- Works cross functionally with the supply chain planning and buying team to execute direction into the field that adheres to merchandising standards
- Handles administrative tasks related to merchandising operations
- Assists in the execution of merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability through merchandising platform.
- Assists with merchandising direction and problem solving from the merchandising team into the field
- Merchandising Display Initiatives
- Understands the fundamentals of merchandising displays that are being implemented on the showroom floors
- Audits floor plan notes that are being entered into the system for merchandising initiatives to ensure consistency as well as that brand standards are being executed in the field.
Additional duties and responsibilities as a Merchandise Planning Coordinator:
- New Store Opening & Remodel Projects
- Supports the planning and executing of new store opening projects, and showroom remodel projects.
- Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role

What's Required...
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or relevant field of study required
- 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred
- Experience in a retail environment, merchandising, category management, space planning preferred
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Flexible Monday through Friday work week in a corporate/hybrid office environment
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Up to 10% of travel, overnight stays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting in office setting
Technology Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
- Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
Certifications / Licenses:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
