Maintenance Mechanic Associate
Job Description

The primary function of this position is to provide assistance to all Showroom Facility Managers in the South Florida region to ensure that all aspects of the physical plant are well maintained and operationally sound.

This position is required to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in a corporate office environment.  Physical work including bending and lifting 5 to 20 lbs. are required.  Lifting of 20 lbs. may be required occasionally. Operating a lift to work on light fixtures in the ceiling is required.

  • Required to perform light interior and exterior cleaning as well as minor landscape maintenance such as weeding, watering, light mulching and picking up trash.  
  • Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, unclogs commodes, urinals, sink drains and drinking fountains.  Repairs and adjusts door knobs, locks, striker plates, hinges and stops, toilet seats, paper towel and toilet seat dispensers.  Performs office furniture set-ups and repairs.  Performs basic carpentry tasks (i.e. Repair wood fixtures, such as shelves, sills, frames and moldings).
  • Pressure cleans front entrance and walkways. Paints interior and exterior walls as needed. Performs miscellaneous painting as needed. Repairs and paints holes in walls, doors, and other places throughout the building
  • Additional responsibilities will include general repairs and maintenance to appliances, carpentry, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, & other common building equipment.

Job Requirements

Education - High school diploma/GED High School Equivalent/Trade School

Work Experience - 1 to 5 years of previous work-related experience in electrical, plumbing 

Other skills - Proficiency in reading and speaking English. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Licensure and Requirements - Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation Mileage will be reimbursed.
