Job Description

Our Fleet Safety Supervisor conducts fleet safety over the road, and in-cab observation audits on a daily basis in order to monitor for safe driving behaviors and to reinforce safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Reviews driving performance of all Commercial drivers and problem solves unsafe behavior and trends. The position also requires preparation for and conducts Fleet Safety Committee meeting.  Attends Risk Management meetings. Presents and / or attends Ultimate Update meetings. Meets with individual Associates and management to review incidents with the intent to problem solve. Attends daily focus meeting for Operations to solve departments’ issues as they arise. Attends Suggestion System Meetings. The position also requires the review of all Fleet Safety training and revises to ensure best in class training programs are implemented. Conducts New Hire Defensive Driver Training, including classroom and in-cab training. Conducts post-accident safe driver re-certification and separate classes to support Fleet Safety across the Service Dept. Our Fleet safety supervisor will oversee all aspects of development, implementation, standardization and management of company's DOT Safety & Compliance programs, including Pre-Trip Vehicle inspections, Driver Hours of Service, and eLogs.  Works closely with Fleet Maintenance to ensure FMCSA Maintenance compliance

Education - High School/GED High School Equivalent/Trade School

 

Work Experience - 2+ years of management or supervisory experience

 

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of the computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

 

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Bilingual - English / Spanish (preferred)

 

Other - Valid Florida Driver’s License Required (CDL Preferred but not required)
