Job Description

We have a wonderful opportunity to join our City Furniture Supply Chain team as the Domestic Logistics Supervisor.The primary function of this role is to lead the domestic inbound logistics team, focusing on core KPIs and driving continuous improvement with our suppliers and carriers.The person in this role will be responsible for monitoring our Transportation Management System to ensure suppliers and carriers perform to plan. The Domestic Logistics Supervisor works with logistics coordinators on daily receiving schedules and works with ERP and YMS systems to maintain transportation and scheduling databases. The Domestic Logistics Supervisor executes and supervises daily load tendering as well as monitors the Transportation Management System to ensure carrier acceptance and rating. In addition our Domestics Logistics Supervisor troubleshoots pickup and delivery issues while working within and outside the company as needed.

The Domestic Logistics Supervisor’s first 90 days will include a detailed new hire orientation, initial training plan, and a personalized development plan to help you reach your career goals.

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications Required

Education - Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

 

Work Experience - 1-5 years of experience in logistics.

 

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list the computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

 

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
  • Transportation Management System
