We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CITY Tech Data and Analytics team. As the Business Analyst the primary function of this position is the execution of strategic initiatives set forth by Data Analytics Product Owners and Leadership. The Business Analyst is responsible for market research, cross-departmental collaboration and communication to the Analytics team. The role acts as a voice of the Analytics Product Owners in researching, gathering, and defining business initiatives within Analytics. They work to ensure new capabilities have launch/go to market plans coordinated with all cross functional teams, working in a collaborative and efficient style. They are responsible for User Story development and refinement within the Agile processes.

 This position is also responsible for:

Project Management- Collaborates with Analytics Product Owners and Leadership to research, identify, and develop work deliverables. Additionally, working with all members of the Data and Analytics team to scope projects, gather requirements, support all steps of the agile process. 

Customer Relations - Work closely with all other cross functional departments to gain a deep awareness of the products, technical request and future data needs. Work closely with established cross functional process to support strategic initiatives and department specific KPI’s.

System Processes- Designs, documents and maintains system processes and visualizations for the Analytics team. Measures and provides detailed insights on team progress, priorities, and velocity. Prepares and disseminates reports to the Analytics Department. These reports include key information insights into the Strategic Initiatives the Analytics Department is working on.

Job Requirements

Education - Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Not required

Work Experience and Skills - works require one (1) to five (5) years of experience.  Agile project management preferred.

 

Computer Knowledge -

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Jira
  • Google Suite preferred
