We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CITY Furniture Office of Strategy Management team. As the Agile Coach the primary function of this position is to serve as a facilitator and coach for multiple development teams. This dedicated position is to provide the necessary  hands-on leadership and support for the development of teams to adhere to Agile and remove impediments to continually increase the probability of success in each sprint.  This position is also responsible for coaching and mentoring the organization to gain deep understanding and effectively implement the tools, ceremonies, and rituals of Agile.  The Agile Coach will also be well versed in all business related to IT project management and has the ability to use the best methods of Agile, Scrum, project management, Kanban, Waterfall and other methods and tools to create a world-class development system for CITY Furniture.  

The Agile Coach’s first 90 days will include a detailed new hire orientation, initial training plan, and a personalized development plan to help you reach your career goals.

Job Requirements

Education -

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Preferred:
  • SAFe Scaled Agilist certification
  • Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification
  • Advanced Jira certifications
  • Jira Project Administrator certification
  • Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster
  • ScrumMaster: product owner, developer, leadership certifications are desired.

Work Experience -

  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience directly managing a minimum of (2) two years in developing teams using Agile, tools, artifacts, and rituals.
  • Minimum of (2) two years working directly in Jira for managing sprints.
  • Prior experience managing mid to large cross-departmental projects using PMI project management methodologies is desirable.
  • Experience working with and familiar with data, data analysis.

Computer Knowledge and Skills -

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word and Project)
  • Familiarity with use of Google Suite
  • Subject matter expert level with Jira
  • Familiar with use of Trello
