Job Description

City Furniture is seeking a UX/UI Designer to join the growing and dynamic Digital Marketing Team. The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for supporting the iterative and continual improvement of the customer experience across all City Furniture’s digital touch points and following direction of the Principle UX Designer and Customer Experience Team to help understand the business needs and technical requirements before finding the best solution for our customers.    

Key Responsibilities

  • Research industry best practices and collaborate with our business analytics, customer data and SEO teams to present the best solutions.

  • Run competitive analysis, customer journey mapping exercises and broad based user testing to identify pain points and moments of opportunity.

  • Build wireframes and design comps, specs and prototypes as needed for A/B or multivariate testing strategies.

  • Provide designs and specifications for projects and collaborate with developers to streamline the development process through production.

Qualifications Required


  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equal experience, required.


Work Experience :

  • The ability to design and concept across all devices and screen sizes

  • Communicate design decisions in more universal terms; meaning, you can help to bridge the design and business worlds with your line of thinking

  • Solid foundation in design principles, best practices, and a passion for designing meaningful digital experiences

  • Detail-oriented, well organized, with excellent time-management skills

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to comfortably present to peers and business stakeholders

  • Experience working with design systems is a plus

  • 3+ years of related work experience and a strong design portfolio required

  • Ability to work well with peers across multi-disciplinary teams, and give constructive direction to more junior designers and developers to execute precisely


    Technology Experience:

  • A strong knowledge of and experience using Invision

  • A solid working knowledge of industry standard tools (Sketch, Adobe Suite, Invision, etc.)
