Job Description

City Furniture is seeking a UI Designer to join the growing and dynamic Creative Team. The  UI Designer will be responsible for supporting the iterative and continual improvement of all City Furniture’s digital touch points and following direction of the Creative Director and Customer Experience Team to help understand the business needs and technical requirements before finding the best solution for our customers.    

Key Responsibilities

  • Create workflows, prototypes, and guidelines for the user interfaces in order to simplify the user interaction and improve efficiency
  • Research industry best practices and collaborate with UX designer and customer data to present the best solutions.
  • Give and solicit feedback from designers and cross-disciplinary partners 
  • Execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Deliver mocks and assets in a timely manner
  • Build wireframes and design comps, specs and prototypes as needed for A/B or multivariate testing strategies.
  • Provide designs and specifications for projects and collaborate with developers to streamline the development process through production.

Job Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in design or equal experience, required.

 Work Experience :

  • Invision,Adobe creative cloud and similar tools.
  • Communicate design decisions in more universal terms; meaning, you can help to bridge the design and business worlds with your line of thinking
  • Ability to create sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, prototypes, and written documentation, and organize them into libraries that are easy and enjoyable for other designers to use.
  • Solid foundation in UI design principles, best practices, and a passion for designing meaningful digital experiences
  • Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project.
  • Detail-oriented, well organized, with excellent time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to comfortably present to peers and business stakeholders
  • Experience working with design systems is a plus
  • 2-3 years of related work experience and a strong design portfolio required
  • Ability to work well with peers across multi-disciplinary teams, and give constructive direction to more designers and developers to execute precisely
  • A passion for building great products and experiences, and for great design
  • Eagerness to learn and grow
  • Cross-platform design experience (Web, Mobile, Tablet)
  • Strong collaborator
  • A demonstrated ability automating workflows Proficiency in visual design - iconography, UI, logos, layout.
  • Comprehension of HTML and CSS

Technology Experience:

  • A strong knowledge of and experience using Invision
  • Highly skilled in Sketch
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud
