Job Description

Occupational Summary

The primary purpose of the SEO/SEM Manager is to oversee the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts, including onsite and offsite optimization and keyword research. The SEO/SEM Manager will be responsible for managing our marketing agency’s execution of our pay-per-click (PPC) Search Engine Marketing (SEM) strategy.

Work Environment Summary

This position is required to work a flexible 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, in a corporate office environment. Occasional early morning or late evening hours may be necessary, and some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities   

Strategy and Planning for SEO

 Develops and executes our Search Engine Optimization strategy. Uses industry benchmark data and performance trends to establish goals and details strategies to reach those goals, including specific strategies for link-building, content optimization, and technical optimization.

Strategy and Planning for SEM  

Contributes to the development and execution of paid search campaigns by overseeing strategy, roadmap, and testing for PPC in partnership without marketing agency. Analyzes results and develops action items.  

Data Analysis and Reporting  

Collects data on campaign and content performance and regularly reports out on them. Standardizes reporting to all stakeholders including revenue, ROAS, rankings, and engagement metrics. Performs data analysis to identify and interprets trends and potential areas of improvement.

 Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Acquisition and is a member of the Digital department.

Financial Transaction Responsibilities

This position is responsible for preparing financial transactions for approval by others (i.e., process invoices, etc.).

 Decision Making Responsibilities This position will be responsible for managing the broader strategy and execution of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing that are aligned with City Furniture’s goals for the company

Job Requirements

 Qualifications Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree

 Work Experience  

  • 4+ years of experience with E-Commerce, digital marketing, SEO/SEM and other content marketing tactics preferred

Computer Knowledge and Skills
