We have a fantastic opportunity to join our City Furniture Commercial Sales team. We are looking to add a Licensed Interior Designer to participate in pre-design meetings with Commercial Sales / Business Development and Design Manager, develop design concept, technical solutions, and budget evaluation in correlation to the design intent, demographics, and builders’ expectations. The Licensed Interior Designer verifies / approves electronic design boards, conducts pre-presentation review of sketch up and design presentations, conducts practice presentation, follows presentation template and guidelines as well as specifies builder finishes, fixtures and equipment; guides, supports, and monitors internal graphics and communicates all graphics and shop drawings to clients.

The Licensed Interior Designer is also responsible for ensuring the project is fully completed on date of installation; attends installation and assigns tasks to expedite completion; ensures inventory placement and resolutions for missing items and additional selections / re-selections. The position requires that our expert continues to grow professionally, to have a strong desire to be cutting edge in design; stay current and expert at latest trends, and stay abreast of the industry; continue design education; maintain licensing, and sharpen business, sales, and marketing skills.

The Licensed Interior Designer we are looking for, will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

 

Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design preferred.

 

Work Experience - Five+ years related work experience specifically in residential and commercial interior design and sales.

 

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list the computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

 

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • AS400
  • Sketch Up

 

Certification or Licensure Requirements -

  • Florida Registered Interior Designer (NCIDQ certified preferred)
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
