Contract Digital Graphic Designer
Job Description

The Digital Graphic Designer is responsible for the design and delivery of creative assets and on the website to support campaigns, events, emails, pages, and banners. They will collaborate cross functionally with the internal Marketing and Merchandising teams to gather requirements and information about the brand, product assortment, campaigns, and design guidelines. The role will provide expertise in digital Customer design best practices, tools, techniques, and trends in order to create the ultimate Customer Experience through digital assets. Assures graphics and assets will be in creative sync with the rest of the campaign channels like TV commercials, in-store visual displays, direct mail and catalogs. They will adhere to calendars and deadlines in order to prioritize work and manage available resources and communicating with the Team any risks, status or roadblocks in order to identify solutions.

Design Management- Designs and produces graphical assets to support cityfurniture.com across all devices including desktop, tablets, and mobile. Promotes innovation and creativity while following best practices where applicable in order to ensure the ultimate graphical User Experience.

Creative Design- Provides design options or variations in order to support new features, A/B, multi-variate, or proof of concept testing.  Creates new designs based on wire-frame or conceptual proofs of new features, capabilities, and site modifications.

Design Process- Provides best practices recommendation in the definition and implementation of standardized production processes required to support efficient, scalable, measurable procedures for graphical digital assets. This includes intake, cross functional reviews, digital asset management schema, approvals, production release, monitoring and measuring

Miscellaneous- Participates and attends professional development events, Corporate meetings. Performs administrative tasks and attends training, as needed.

Job Requirements

Education - Bachelor’s Degree

Work Experience - 5+ years of experience in graphic design, digital asset management

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Expert level with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Skilled in CSS, HTML, PHP
  • Ability to present creative concepts to business users and developers
