Visual Merchandising Coordinator - Wellington
Job Description
As a Visual Merchandising Coordinator, your maintain the overall aesthetic of the showroom and ensure the showroom is merchandised to company standards. The position requires a strong creative ability and attention to detail to implement appealing product displays and translate home accents concepts within showroom environments. Helps to drive business results through effective merchandising and the timely transition of product, maximizing real estate to support creative brand strategy and messaging.  
  • Merchandising - Reviews and executes floor plan notes to facilitate product transitions, implements product changes and maintains merchandising standards. Creates stock transfer documents, accepts delivery trucks, and oversees proper execution of merchandising direction. Orders showroom product. Assists in planning movement of display products.
  • Home Accents - Manages receiving, unpacking and tagging of accessories. Ensures all home accents are labeled and tagged for sale. Implements company directive by distributing and setting accessories and wall décor optimally throughout showroom display areas. 
  • Sales Department Support - Meets with General Manager to review showroom needs and planned product changes and moves. Assists Sales Associates with product information and customers as needed. Communicates product pricing and tags needed for transitions through task folder direction. Attends Ultimate Update meetings to align personal and team efforts to the overall goals of the company.
  • Inventory Control - Prepares for showroom inventory counts. Reviews inventory variances and assists with reconciling. Ensures product is ordered into correct vignette and provides accurate PO documentation for all product transfers to accounting. Maintains accurate labels on all accessories
  • Auditing - Audits floor plan notes for accuracy and completion. Audits product displays for proper visual merchandising standards, correct components and home accents specs.
  • Team Involvement - Collaborates with all Associates to ensure the success of the organization. Communicates with Merchandise Planning and Visual Leadership on product placement, showroom assortment and resource planning. Participates in the setup of new showrooms and remerchandising projects. Provides feedback to Marketing and Operations regarding product quality, packaging and delivery.
Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

Education - High school diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree recommended

Work Experience - One to five years of Visual Merchandising experience within a retail environment preferred.

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of computer programs and software applications that are required for this position: General PC, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ability to view and understand Computer-Aided Design (CAD)


  • Prior Visual Display, Fashion Merchandising, Design experience a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of diagrams
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, or independently with little direct supervision
  • Comfortable in using a computer and open to learning new programs and systems
  • Ability to work a flexible 40 hour/week schedule, Monday through Friday 9:30am-6:00pm, with limited night and weekend hours, in a retail furniture showroom and warehouse environment
  • Physical demands include extended periods of time standing, the use of ladders, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
  • Travel from showroom to showroom required
