Exciting career opportunity! City Furniture is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to direct and manage the everyday operations in the Distribution Center while following company standard operating procedures and policies to ensure the efficiency, safety, and productivity of the various work areas. The Senior Operations Manager manages approximately 130 - 140 Associates and works with the Management team to achieve defined performance goals. This individual plays a vital role in City Furniture’s expansion into new markets, which provides an opportunity for the Senior Operations Manager to develop into higher leadership positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that safety policies and procedures are followed, including the utilization of proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages and reduce injuries

  • Manages product inventory, shipping and delivery logistics

  • Manages expenses and budgets for assigned departments

  • Manages the physical resources (i.e. equipment, tools, facilities maintenance, etc.) for assigned work areas

  • Manages the human resources (i.e. forecasting, scheduling, etc.) for assigned work areas

  • Conducts meetings on a regular basis to communicate appropriate information to Associates

  • Reviews and analyzes departmental reports. Problem solves and investigates data and makes recommendations for process improvements.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years of Distribution Center leadership experience. This individual must be goal-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
