E-commerce Site Merchandiser
Job Description

The Site Merchandiser position is responsible for the entry and maintenance of content for the City Furniture website, including but not limited to copy, graphics, setting up campaigns, and product merchandising.

The Site Merchandiser will collaborate cross functionally with internal business owners, merchandising, creative and technical members of our organization as needed, to facilitate the flow of content. The Site Merchandiser assures content is within brand guidelines, and is final in terms of editing, style, web fit, graphics are optimized, and ready for production.

City Furniture Website- Manages, enters and maintains content for the City Furniture website, including copy, graphics, setting up campaigns, managing product data, copy, and merchandising as needed. Responsible for tasks that may require manipulating codes, using a high-level understanding of HTML.

Flow of Content- Collaborates cross functionally with internal business owners, merchandising, creative and technical members of our organization as needed, to facilitate the flow of content in order to assure all content is within brand guidelines.

Marketing Project Management- Monitors the Marketing and Merchandising event calendars on a daily basis to ensure required assets are received, and tasks are prioritized to ensure events and promotions are launched on the website by their deadlines.  Manages available resources and communicates any risks, status or roadblocks in order to identify solutions with the team

Website Management- Enters and manages website functionality and user experience enhancement tickets into the Jira system.  Manages the prioritization of tasks and schedules to be completed by the web development team.

Job Requirements

Education - Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience - 1 (one) to 5 (five) years of related experience managing content and production for high traffic websites using a CMS

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including digital asset optimization
  • Experience using Magento preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications

    High-level understanding of CSS, HTML is required

    Strong understanding of processes

    Experience with project management tools

    Ability to prioritize work and utilize available resources

    Strong communication and organization skills
