Job Description

We are looking for a special candidate to become the new Director of Marketing at City Furniture. This pivotal role oversees three vital areas of our Marketing Department: Advertising Business Office, Photography & Production, and Creative & Project Management. The Director of Marketing reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and works very closely with our President/CEO and other Senior VPs. This role works in conjunction with the Director of Merchandising and Director of E-commerce to design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies to drive traffic and revenue for the organization.

 

The Director is responsible for all strategy development and execution as well as all creative and content development associated with these strategies and the marketing of City Furniture. The Director will oversee all planning and managing of media procurement and agency relationships along with the operating expenses of the Marketing Department including advertising budgets and payroll.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher required

Work Experience: At least 8 years of experience in advertising management, media buying, digital marketing, market research, human resource management and project management required.

Computer Knowledge: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 50 hours per week

  • Capability to work with both creative freedom and under creative direction

  • Execution of existing plan, developing and executing additional strategic initiatives and plans, plus involvement in strategic planning for 2018

  • Work in a structured/organized environment

  • Manage external agency relationships and monitor/maximize performance and deliverables

  • Create and maintain the Marketing budget, including: advertising, photography and film production, payroll, and capital expenditures

  • Proven leadership skills - maintain a culture that attracts, retains, motivates and develops an exceptional team
